BNP, BSO Hold Protest Rally in Quetta, Demand Transparent Probe into Surab Incident

QUETTA (Daily Qudrat): A protest rally was held in Quetta under the joint banner of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) and Baloch Students Organization (BSO) on the central call of the BNP, with protesters demanding a transparent investigation into the Surab incident.

A large number of BNP central and district leaders, workers and women participated in the rally. The protesters condemned the reported deaths of women, innocent children and other civilians during an aerial operation in Surab.

They also protested over the alleged disappearance of Haji Rajab, manager of BNP chief Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, and his guard Ahmed.

Addressing the rally, speakers said the BNP would not remain silent over the deaths of innocent women and children. They called on all political parties to play an effective role in addressing the incidents taking place in Balochistan.

The speakers said the time had come for political forces to unite, warning that continued silence could further worsen the situation.

They demanded a transparent and impartial investigation into the Surab incident and called for the immediate appearance and whereabouts of the missing individuals to be made public.

The speakers reiterated that the BNP and BSO would continue raising their voice for the rights and protection of civilians and called for collective political efforts to address the challenges facing Balochistan.
