Wearing Masks Made Mandatory for Traffic Police and Sanitation Workers in Punjab

Lahore: On the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, wearing face masks has been made mandatory for traffic police personnel and “Suthra Punjab” (Clean Punjab) teams across the province in view of rising smog levels.
According to the official order, all traffic police officers and personnel working amid vehicular emissions are required to wear masks at all times. Senior officers have been instructed to ensure strict compliance with the directive.
Similarly, all members of the Suthra Punjab teams — responsible for maintaining cleanliness in urban areas — must also wear masks during duty hours.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed senior officials to closely monitor the implementation of the order and ensure full adherence to mask-wearing protocols aimed at protecting public workers from hazardous air pollution.
