No Illegal Immigrants, Including Afghan Refugees, Will Be Allowed to Stay: Sharjeel Memon

Karachi: Sindh’s Senior Minister **Sharjeel Inam Memon** has stated that **no illegal immigrant, including Afghan refugees, will be allowed to stay in Pakistan**. Speaking to the media, he emphasized that **the vacated settlements belong to the government**, and **the government will not allow anyone to occupy them illegally**.
Sharjeel Memon also highlighted that the **Sindh Transport Department’s Command and Control System** is fully functional, providing **live monitoring of all transport operations**, routes, and passenger activities. He added that **facilities for passengers and revenue generated from BRT services** are also being closely monitored.
Encouraging women’s empowerment, Memon urged **more women to obtain driving licenses**, noting that **the Sindh government introduced the first women-only bus service**. He announced that a new **Pink EV Taxi service** would be launched in **December**, aimed at **further supporting women’s mobility and independence**.
Discussing ongoing challenges, he acknowledged that **rainfall and development projects** have affected bus operations in some areas but reaffirmed that **the province urgently needs improved transport services**. He said **Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has given strict instructions** to ensure high-quality bus services, and **more buses will soon be imported**.
The minister added that **a state-of-the-art monitoring system** has been established and that **some projects delayed due to contractor issues** have now been resolved. He mentioned that approvals for these projects would be sought in the **upcoming Sindh Cabinet meeting**, while **Senator Taj Haider Bridge and Shahrah-e-Bhutto** are nearing completion.
Earlier, Sharjeel Memon visited the **Green and Orange Line Operations Command and Control Center**, where he inspected various sections and was briefed by officials on operational performance and monitoring mechanisms.
