KP Residents Credit Pakistan Army Pressure for Initiating Pak-Afghan Talks

Peshawar: Residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, like citizens across other provinces, have shared their views on the recently initiated Pakistan-Afghanistan talks, crediting the Pakistan Army’s pressure for making the dialogue possible.

Locals expressed the opinion that those currently ruling Afghanistan enjoy the backing of India. “The government sitting in Afghanistan is fully supported by India,” several citizens said while speaking to media outlets.

They praised the Pakistan Army, saying, “We salute our army because these talks became possible due to their consistent pressure.”

Some residents further stated that, as Pashtuns, they do not trust the Afghan Taliban, describing them as unreliable and prone to frequent policy reversals.

The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reaffirmed their faith in the Pakistan Army, calling it strong and courageous. “We have complete confidence in our armed forces and will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with them in every field,” they added.
