Karachi Experiences Dual Weather Patterns: Cool Mornings, Hot Afternoons

KARACHI: As winter approaches, residents of Karachi are witnessing a unique blend of **two contrasting weather conditions** — cool mornings and nights followed by hot and dry afternoons.
According to the **Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD)**, the city is experiencing **a noticeable drop in morning temperatures**, with readings falling by **1 to 2 degrees Celsius** compared to previous days. The **minimum temperature** on Saturday was recorded at **22°C**.
The PMD forecast suggests that in the coming days, **sea breezes will remain suspended**, allowing **hot desert winds** to dominate, which could push **daytime temperatures up to 36°C**.
Weather experts also predict **intermittent dusty winds** in various parts of the city, including suburban areas.
Authorities have advised citizens to take **precautionary measures** during early morning and evening hours to **avoid the effects of cold air**, while also preparing for **intense daytime heat**.
