Islamabad: The **Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan** has announced **fully funded PhD scholarships** for Pakistani students aspiring to pursue higher education in the **United States** under the *U.S.-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor* initiative.
This prestigious program offers talented Pakistani scholars the opportunity to study at **top-ranked U.S. universities** — specifically those listed among the **top 300 institutions** in the global **QS World Rankings**.
According to HEC, the initiative aims to strengthen **academic collaboration between Pakistan and the United States** while developing Pakistan’s **human capital** in cutting-edge fields of research and innovation. Through this program, Pakistani scholars will gain advanced research expertise and contribute significantly to the nation’s academic and technological progress.
The scholarships are divided into **two categories**:
* **Category 1:** Admission to **top 50 U.S. universities**. Scholars will receive **full tuition coverage**, a **monthly stipend**, and **health insurance**.
* **Category 2:** Admission to universities ranked between **51 and 300**. Scholars will be provided with **financial assistance** covering **up to USD 12,000 per year**, along with stipends and health benefits.
This initiative is part of HEC’s ongoing efforts to provide Pakistani students and professionals with **international research exposure** and access to modern academic trends to help them play a more impactful role in the country’s development.
The **application deadlines** are **November 15, 2025**, for **Spring/Summer 2026 intake**, and **April 30, 2026**, for **Fall 2026 intake**.
