20-Year-Old Woman Recovered in Karachi 18 Months After Abduction

Karachi: A 20-year-old woman named **Yusra**, who was allegedly abducted from **Orangi Town** around **one and a half years ago**, has been safely recovered by authorities.
Sindh Minister for Women Development **Shahina Sher Ali** and **MQM-P MPA Ejaz-ul-Haq** visited Yusra and her family to express solidarity and assure them of full legal assistance.
According to Minister Shahina Sher Ali, Yusra was allegedly **kidnapped after developing contact with the suspect on TikTok**. The accused, identified as **Hamza**, along with his mother, allegedly subjected her to **continuous physical abuse**, keeping her in a state of fear.
The victim stated that the accused **forcibly arranged a fake marriage certificate** and repeatedly **sexually assaulted her** during captivity.
After **18 months**, Yusra managed to **contact a relative** and share details of her ordeal. With the swift intervention of MPA Ejaz-ul-Haq and local police, she was successfully rescued.
Police have **arrested the accused Hamza** and registered a case, while further investigation is underway.
Minister Shahina Sher Ali assured the family that the **Sindh government will provide complete legal and psychological support** to the victim. She reiterated that the **provincial government maintains a zero-tolerance policy** against crimes targeting women and girls, emphasizing that those involved in such heinous acts will face **strict punishment**.
