Three Policemen Martyred, Nine Injured in Armed Attack by Protesters in Azad Kashmir

Muzaffarabad: In a tragic incident in Azad Kashmir’s Dheerkot area, armed assailants linked with the Awami Action Committee opened fire on police personnel, resulting in the martyrdom of three policemen and injuries to nine others.
According to reports, the attackers launched an unprovoked assault on security forces. The martyred officers were identified as Constable Khurshid and Constable Jameel from Bagh, and Constable Tahir Rafi from Muzaffarabad.
Families of the martyrs and injured officers have demanded that the perpetrators be brought to justice and awarded exemplary punishment.
Authorities confirmed that strict legal action is underway against the armed group, emphasizing that no militia or organization will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
Security officials reiterated their commitment to upholding law and order and assured that such violent acts would be met with a firm response.
