PCB Makes NOC for Foreign Leagues Conditional on Players’ Performance

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to link the issuance of No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) for foreign leagues with players’ performance in international and domestic cricket.

According to a notification issued by PCB Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, all previously granted NOCs for foreign leagues and overseas tournaments have been suspended until further notice.

This decision directly impacts top Pakistani cricketers including **Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, and Faheem Ashraf**, who had been issued NOCs to participate in Australia’s Big Bash League.

Sources revealed that going forward, only players meeting the required performance standards will be allowed to play in overseas leagues. Those failing to meet the benchmarks will be required to work on their skills at the **National Cricket Academy (NCA)** under coaches’ supervision.

Officials said the move aims to ensure that representing Pakistan and improving on-field performance remain players’ top priority. Participation in foreign leagues will be restricted to those who consistently prove themselves at the international and domestic level.

The decision comes just a day after Pakistan’s defeat in the **Asia Cup final**.
