Asia Cup T20 Final: Pakistan Captain Salman Ali Agha Admits Poor Execution in Final Overs

Dubai: Pakistan captain **Salman Ali Agha** conceded that his side failed to handle the pressure in the **closing overs against India** in the Asia Cup T20 2025 final.
Speaking to the media after the match, Salman said, *“As a team, we played well, and I am proud of my boys. But we couldn’t execute properly in the last few overs. We will come back stronger.”*
Despite the loss, Salman received the **runners-up cheque** at the post-match ceremony and appreciated the team’s collective effort throughout the tournament.
India defeated Pakistan by **five wickets** in a nail-biting contest at the Dubai International Stadium, clinching the Asia Cup for the **ninth time**.
The final carried special historical significance as it was the **first-ever India-Pakistan final in Asia Cup history** spanning 41 years.
Batting first, Pakistan were bundled out for **146 runs in 19.1 overs**. In response, India chased down the target in the final over, finishing at **147/5**.
