Governor Balochistan Vows Development in Zhob, Says “Serving the People is My Mission

Zhob:Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, has said that winning and losing elections are part of politics, but public service remains his lifelong mission. Addressing a joining ceremony organized by the *Killi Apozai Youth Committee* in Zhob, he emphasized that sincere intentions and a spirit of service always bring respect from Allah Almighty.
Mandokhail said the people of Zhob had always shown confidence by voting for him, adding that his politics was not confined to Zhob alone but extended across Pakistan. He noted that in the past, political rivals such as JUI’s former provincial chief Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani and late PKMAP MNA Abdul Rahim Advocate opposed him in elections, yet mutual respect prevailed afterward. *“We never interfered in anyone’s personal matters or obstructed their work,”* he said, adding that he also refrained from interfering in the projects of former provincial minister Mehta Khan Kakar.
Criticizing Zhob’s current MPA, the Governor said he lacked the ability to represent the area and was shifting the blame for his failures onto others. Referring to an incident raised in the provincial assembly, Mandokhail remarked that using a police officer’s mistake to cover one’s shortcomings was proof of incompetence.
He assured that the development and prosperity of Zhob remained a top priority. *“Thirty years ago, Zhob had only one model high school, but during my tenure, 37 high schools were approved. Billions of rupees worth of development projects are ongoing, which will bring Zhob into a new era of progress once completed,”* he said.
The Governor pledged several facilities for Killi Apozai, including an ambulance, a school bus, electricity poles and transformers, blacktopping of roads, two major water bores for a joint water supply scheme, and the construction of a protection wall.
Other speakers at the event included Malik Sherab Mandokhail, former BDA Chairman Shehbaz Khan Mandokhail, Nader Khan Mandokhail, Akbar Khan Mandokhail, Noor Khan Mandokhail, Azam Khan Mandokhail, Habib-ur-Rehman Mandokhail, and Zia-ur-Rehman.
The ceremony concluded with a traditional *lunch* and the presenting of turbans to the guests in their honor.
