World Bank Ranks Port Qasim as 9th Most Developed Port Globally

Islamabad:Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs **Muhammad Junaid Anwar** announced that the **World Bank has ranked Port Qasim as the ninth most developed port in the world**, marking a significant achievement for Pakistan.

In his statement, the minister said the international recognition was a matter of pride for the country, calling it the **result of government reforms and modernization efforts**. He particularly credited **Qasim International Container Terminal** for its pivotal role in advancing modern port operations.

Junaid Anwar Chaudhry reaffirmed his commitment to raising port operations to **global standards**, emphasizing that Pakistan is emerging as a **regional shipping hub through modernization**. He added that improved port performance will further **boost investor confidence** in the country’s maritime sector.
