Terrorists Enjoy ‘State Sponsorship’ in Afghanistan, Says Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti

Islamabad: Balochistan Chief Minister **Mir Sarfraz Bugti** has accused Afghanistan of providing **“state sponsorship”** to terrorists who, he said, are launching cross-border attacks into Pakistan.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Bugti claimed that Afghanistan offers **safe havens and training camps** to militants. “Many of the terrorists recently killed had direct links to Afghanistan,” he said.

The chief minister urged the Afghan Taliban government to honor the **Doha Agreement**, under which they pledged that Afghan soil would not be used against any country.

Bugti emphasized that Pakistan’s forces are conducting **toughest ground and aerial operations** to restore peace in Balochistan. “Terrorists are targeting innocent civilians, and they will not be shown any leniency,” he added.

Referring to a recent operation in Chagai, Bugti said security forces killed **Zubair alias Shah Ji** and an accomplice. “Zubair monitored the movement of Chinese nationals and was working with India’s intelligence agency RAW on sabotage plans. He was also recruiting militants for the banned BLA under the umbrella of ‘BRAS,’” Bugti revealed.

He added that another militant, **Jehanzeb**, had surrendered, admitting involvement in various terrorist activities.

Bugti further disclosed that a **planned terrorist attack on August 14** targeting a professor and key installations was foiled by security forces. “This is a major achievement, and I congratulate the forces for their intelligence-based operations,” he said.

The CM vowed that **peace in Balochistan would not be compromised**, warning that extremist groups are attempting to mislead the youth.

During the latest operation, one security official was injured. Bugti prayed for his speedy recovery and reiterated that the **state’s writ will not be challenged at any cost**.
