KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur Confirms Positive Signal from Afghanistan, Talks Expected Soon

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister **Ali Amin Gandapur** said on Monday that the provincial government has received a **positive message from the Afghan government**, and a delegation will soon travel to Afghanistan for peace talks.

Speaking to the media in Peshawar, Gandapur stated that discussions between the KP government and Afghan authorities aim to resolve issues on both sides through **peaceful dialogue**. He criticized the recent remarks by the federal defense minister on Afghanistan, terming them “highly regrettable” and dismissive of the seriousness of the situation.

The CM emphasized that Kabul is also seeking a peaceful solution and assured that the dialogue process will be advanced to bring **stability and peace for both nations**.

Addressing cases registered against him, Gandapur described them as baseless, asserting that he would not back down from the “mission of freedom.” He said, *“We are fighting the real battle for the people, and our rallies will prove that the nation still stands with the PTI founder.”*

Commenting on **Asia Cup 2025**, Gandapur expressed disappointment over Pakistan’s repeated defeats against India. *“Matches against India are not just games; they carry emotions and national pride. The entire nation expects victory,”* he said, adding that while wins and losses are part of cricket, consistency and determination are key for the Pakistan team to meet the people’s expectations.
