JWP Alleges Return of Violence in Sui, Dera Bugti; Condemns ‘Death Squads’ and ‘Fake’ Government

Quetta – In a statement issued from the central secretariat, the Jamhuri Watan Party (JWP) said that peace in Sui and Dera Bugti has once again been destroyed and accused the authorities of handing the public over to “ruthless death squads.”
The statement alleged that the rulers, who it says were imposed after stealing the public mandate through fraudulent Form 47, have plunged not only Dera Bugti but the entire province of Balochistan into bloodshed and chaos. JWP leaders Nawabzada Shazin Bugti and Nawabzada Gahram Bugti were praised for restoring peace, employment, education and prosperity in Dera Bugti after great sacrifices following the example of their revered grandfather, the late Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti.
However, the party claimed, the unelected and anti-public government has supported death squads and driven the region back into devastation. The statement said the peaceful and dignified era associated with the late Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti has become a dream, and argued that those who seize power through rigging and Form 47 cannot deliver peace to the people.
The JWP warned that the people of Balochistan are again facing oppression, imposed terror and the brutality of death squads. It vowed that the province’s citizens will not hesitate to make any sacrifice to defend their sovereignty and peaceful future, and pledged to thwart any conspiracy aimed at further bloodshed in Balochistan.
