CM Balochistan Chairs PDMC Meeting to Review Monsoon Preparedness and Emergency Response Plan

Quetta: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, chaired a key meeting of the Provincial Disaster Management Commission (PDMC) to review monsoon contingency measures. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) presented a detailed briefing on the monsoon contingency plan.
The Chief Minister directed PDMA to enhance its resources, capacity, and response planning to ensure timely and effective disaster management. The meeting also approved and ratified important administrative decisions related to PDMA’s functioning.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that proactive and coordinated strategies are essential to deal with natural disasters. He stressed the importance of transparency, preparedness, and swift response in relief operations, adding that providing timely relief, rescue, and rehabilitation during emergencies remains the government’s top priority.
He also highlighted the necessity of inter-agency coordination for effective disaster preparedness and mitigation.
