Karachi: Serial Child Abuser Suspected of Selling Exploitative Videos; Landlord Also Booked

KARACHI: Police have registered another case against a ruthless predator accused of sexually assaulting dozens of minors in Qayyumabad, Karachi, amid suspicions that he recorded and sold exploitative videos of his victims.

According to police, the latest case — the seventh against the suspect — has been filed at the Defence Police Station under the Sindh Temporary Residence Act, naming both the primary accused, Shabbir Ahmed Tanoli (alias Shabbir Sharbat Wala), and his landlord, Ejaz Awan. Authorities said the landlord failed to register the tenancy agreement with police, enabling the accused to operate unchecked.

Investigations revealed that Shabbir allegedly abused 60 to 70 children and filmed the assaults inside his rented room. A mobile phone recovered from him has been sent to Islamabad for forensic examination. Police suspect that he collected and possibly sold the videos online.

Officials confirmed that the suspect’s social media accounts are also under scrutiny as part of the ongoing investigation.
