Drama Outside Court: Wife Beats Husband with Slippers After Heated Clash
Islamabad: Tense scenes unfolded outside a family court in Rampur when a marital dispute took an unexpected turn. A woman, Asiya, who had filed a case against her husband over dowry harassment and financial neglect, was present for a hearing when the incident occurred.
According to reports, Asiya, a resident of Bamanpura village, had appeared in court for proceedings related to financial support. After the hearing, she encountered her husband outside the courtroom. A heated argument broke out, during which the husband, in a fit of anger, suddenly pronounced triple talaq (instant divorce).
Eyewitnesses said that when Asiya protested against the act, the husband allegedly misbehaved and physically assaulted her. In retaliation, Asiya removed her slippers and began beating him in front of onlookers.
The couple had been married for nearly seven years but had been living separately for the past year. Asiya claimed her husband repeatedly demanded dowry and cut off financial support, forcing her to seek legal recourse.
The incident left both court staff and citizens shocked. A formal complaint is now being registered at the local police station for further legal action.
