Earthquake Tremors Jolt Gilgit-Baltistan and Surrounding Areas

ISLAMABAD: Tremors were felt in Gilgit, Skardu, Astore, and adjoining areas on Saturday.

According to the seismic monitoring center, the earthquake measured 3.7 on the Richter scale at a depth of 25 kilometers. Its epicenter was located 34 kilometers southwest of Skardu.

Panic-stricken residents rushed out of their homes, but no major damage or casualties have been reported so far.
