Government Policies Fueling Unrest, Balochistan Pushed into Backwardness: JI’s Hidayat ur Rehman

Quetta:Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Balochistan chief and MPA, Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch, has said that reckless government policies are worsening lawlessness in the province, leaving people deprived of peace, development, and basic rights.

Speaking to delegations and addressing a meeting in Quetta, he said that instead of dialogue and consultation, the state is relying on brute force — resulting in mutilated bodies, border closures, and denial of development. “The people of Balochistan are in deep anger as avenues of trade, jobs, education, development, and even internet access have been shut down,” he added.

He said employment is impossible without bribery and references, leaving educated and honest citizens with no opportunities. He criticized the electoral system, saying votes have been devalued through *Form-47 fraud*, and rejected individuals are imposed on the people, leading to policymaking that serves only the powerful.

“Despite abundant natural resources, people of Balochistan are struggling for two meals a day, while healthcare and education remain out of reach. Policies have been designed to make the rich richer and the poor poorer,” he remarked.

Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman said JI has become the true voice of the oppressed inside and outside parliament. He claimed growing public trust in his party, expressing confidence that Jamaat-e-Islami will resolve Balochistan’s problems and deliver relief to the people.
