Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti Calls for Legislation to Regulate Social Media
Quetta:Balochistan Chief Minister and Leader of the House, Sarfraz Bugti, expressed concern in the provincial assembly over the misuse of social media, calling it increasingly “uncontrollable.”
He said that nowadays anyone can post whatever they like on social media, often tarnishing the reputation of respectable individuals without evidence. *“Every honorable person’s dignity is being attacked, and I strongly condemn this,”* Bugti remarked.
The Chief Minister stressed the need for immediate legislation, urging that strict action should be taken against those who malign others without proof.
He appealed to all members of the assembly to join hands in drafting effective laws to curb such practices, ensuring that no individual’s self-respect is violated in the digital space.
