PTI Announces Support for September 8 Shutter-Down Strike in Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced its support for the shutter-down strike in Balochistan scheduled for September 8.

The party boycotted the National Assembly session and instead held its own “People’s Assembly” outside the parliament. During the session, PTI endorsed the strike call given by Mehmood Khan Achakzai and Akhtar Mengal.

The People’s Assembly also expressed support for the recent speech of Justice Athar Minallah and passed a resolution seeking an extension in the repatriation timeline of Afghan citizens.
