CJCSC General Sahir Shamshad Mirza Visits Qatar, Attends Military Cooperation Committee Meeting

Rawalpindi: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza paid an official visit to Qatar, where he participated in the **second round of the High-Level Military Cooperation Committee meeting**.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Mirza held meetings with Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman, and Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Jassim Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mannai.
During the discussions, both sides exchanged views on the evolving regional security situation and reaffirmed their shared commitment to peace and stability at regional and global levels.
General Mirza highlighted the **historic brotherly ties between Pakistan and Qatar** and discussed future avenues of cooperation in the fields of defence and security under the framework of the Military Cooperation Committee.
The Qatari civil and military leadership acknowledged Pakistan’s **key and responsible role in ensuring regional stability** and paid tribute to the professionalism and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism.
Earlier, upon his arrival at the Qatari Armed Forces Headquarters, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza was presented with a **guard of honour by a smartly turned-out contingent**.
