PM Shehbaz Sharif, Turkish President Erdogan Discuss Regional and Global Developments in Tianjin

Tianjin: Prime Minister **Shehbaz Sharif** met with Turkish President **Recep Tayyip Erdogan** on the sidelines of the **SCO Council of Heads of State** summit in Tianjin, China.

Both leaders reviewed the current state of **Pakistan-Türkiye relations** and expressed satisfaction over the growing momentum in bilateral ties. They appreciated the steady increase in high-level exchanges and cooperation across diverse fields, including politics, economy, defense, and security.

President Erdogan conveyed solidarity with the people of Pakistan over the recent **monsoon floods**, expressing grief over the loss of lives and property. He reaffirmed that Türkiye stands by Pakistan in times of difficulty.

The two leaders also discussed key **regional and international developments**, voicing deep concern over the deteriorating **humanitarian situation in Gaza**. They reiterated their joint commitment to supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, condemning Israeli aggression and policies of genocide, and vowed to raise the issue on international platforms.

The meeting reaffirmed the **deep brotherly relations** between Pakistan and Türkiye, with both sides emphasizing their shared resolve to further strengthen cooperation for **peace, stability, and prosperity** in the Muslim world and beyond.
