PPP and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Equally Responsible for Karachi’s Decline: JUI-F Spokesperson

Karachi: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) spokesperson **Aslam Ghauri** has held both the **Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)** and **Jamaat-e-Islami (JI)** accountable for the deteriorating state of Karachi.
In a statement, Ghauri said that PPP’s governance and competence are repeatedly exposed with every rainfall in the city. *“Whatever the Chief Minister of Sindh and the Mayor of Karachi claim on TV, a single rain exposes it all. The multi-billion rupee projects they boast of exist only in dreams,”* he remarked.
Criticizing JI, the JUI-F spokesperson added that the party shares responsibility with PPP for the city’s collapse. *“The political bargaining between PPP and Jamaat-e-Islami during the local government elections was clearly visible,”* he alleged.
He further lamented that despite Karachi being the **highest tax-paying city**, its residents have been abandoned. *“From PPP to PTI, every party has treated Karachi like a stepchild. Unfortunately, the people of Karachi have no one to truly stand for them,”* Ghauri concluded.
