Turkish President Offers Support to Pakistan in Flood Relief During Call with PM Shehbaz Sharif

Islamabad: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan telephoned Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday to express solidarity with Pakistan over the recent devastating floods affecting various parts of the country.

President Erdoğan conveyed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives and property caused by the disaster and assured that Türkiye was ready to extend all possible assistance in relief and rescue operations.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked the Turkish president for his generous offer of support, describing the call as a reflection of the “strong, deep, and brotherly relations” between Pakistan and Türkiye. He said both nations have always stood by each other in times of need.

The two leaders also discussed their earlier interactions this year and looked forward to their upcoming meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tianjin, China.
