JUI Leaders Decry Political Marginalization, Offer Roadmap for Balochistan’s Stability

Quetta:The Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Balochistan, Senator **Maulana Abdul Wasay**, and the party’s General Secretary **Maulana Agha Mahmood Shah** have strongly asserted that JUI remains the **only political and religious party** that has consistently guided the people of Balochistan towards the right path. Speaking at a gathering, they emphasized the party’s longstanding efforts to protect youth from extremism and shield the province from violent politics.

The leaders highlighted that JUI has conducted **awareness campaigns and training conventions** across Balochistan to politically educate the public and expose **foreign conspiracies**, given the province’s strategic geopolitical importance.

“Global powers have always eyed Balochistan’s soil, but JUI has stood as a solid barrier against such conspiracies,” they stated. Despite these efforts, they lamented, JUI has repeatedly been the victim of **palace intrigues** and **denial of its democratic mandate**. They accused power players of **robbing the party’s electoral victories** and pushing the province into crisis by **excluding JUI from governance**.

The JUI leaders criticized the preference given to what they called **”immature and unpopular representatives”**, whose poor decisions have led the province into a spiral of mismanagement. “Our party has always presented serious and pragmatic proposals for the welfare of Balochistan, but unfortunately, these genuine efforts were sacrificed at the altar of petty politics,” they said.

Drawing on a local proverb, they remarked: *“Like a camel whose every joint is misaligned, the province has become a symbol of dysfunction.”*

They warned those practicing **“scheme-based politics”** driven by **personal gain** to reconsider their priorities. “If you cut the tree from its roots, even the shade won’t remain. If public interest continues to be ignored in favor of private wealth, **future generations will not forgive us**,” they cautioned.

Reaffirming their commitment, the JUI leaders said the party has both a **proven record of sacrifices** and a **comprehensive roadmap for the future**. They urged policymakers to consider JUI’s proposals seriously to rescue the province from further political turmoil.

JUI reiterated its readiness to cooperate for Balochistan’s betterment, while warning against further marginalization and exploitation of democratic mandates in the province.
