Missing Person Found Involved in Arson Attack on Sindh Home Minister’s House, Police Inform SHC

Karachi: One of the four missing persons has been found involved in setting the house of Sindh’s Interior Minister, Zia Lanjar, on fire, police informed the Sindh High Court (SHC). The court subsequently disposed of the relevant petition.
During the hearing of petitions concerning the recovery of four missing individuals, police submitted a report stating that Abdul Latif, previously listed as missing, was not abducted but is in police custody in Moro in connection with the arson case targeting the provincial minister’s residence.
The court also disposed of another petition regarding a missing person from Orangi Town after police confirmed that Muhammad Irfan, who went missing from the Malir Cantt area, has safely returned home.
Meanwhile, the petitioner’s lawyer informed the court that two individuals, Noor Muhammad and Abdul Qadeer, have been missing from the City area since 2012 and that no progress has been made in their recovery. The court referred their cases to the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances for further investigation.
