CM Sarfraz Bugti Announces Decisive Crackdown on Terrorism in Balochistan

Quetta: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, in a high-profile press conference, revealed that organized and intensified actions are underway against terrorism across the province. He announced the establishment of a **special cell** that has so far investigated between **2,000 to 2,500 government employees** suspected of involvement in anti-state activities.

“We will take firm action against those involved in undermining the state,” said CM Bugti. “The state has not yet fully initiated the fight, but the time has come for a decisive crackdown on terrorism.”

Bugti further disclosed that a **facilitator of the banned Balochistan Liberation (BL) group**, a professor based in Quetta, has been arrested. “There is a narrative that the people of Balochistan are deprived — but I ask, what deprivation has this arrested professor faced?” he questioned, urging the Baloch people to **distance themselves from such elements**.

The press conference concluded with a strong emphasis on the **resolve of security forces**, **institutional cooperation**, and the **need for updated legislation** to effectively combat terrorism in Balochistan.
