ECP to Hear Disqualification Reference Against Omar Ayub on August 20

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is scheduled to hear the disqualification reference against senior politician Omar Ayub on August 20.
According to *Express News*, the ECP has released its cause list for the current week, confirming that the hearing will take place on Tuesday. Notices have already been issued to Omar Ayub and the petitioner, Babar Nawaz.
The reference alleges that Omar Ayub misrepresented facts and concealed details in his asset declarations — a charge that, if proven, could lead to his disqualification from public office.
The outcome of this hearing may carry significant political implications, given Omar Ayub’s prominent role in national politics.
