Honest, Committed Leadership Key to Solving Balochistan’s Problems: MPA Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman
Quetta:Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA), Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch, has said that the solution to Balochistan’s deep-rooted issues lies in honest and sincere leadership. Addressing delegations during his visit to **Pishin and Quetta**, he emphasized the urgent need to resolve key challenges such as **border closures**, **forced disappearances**, **trawler mafia on the coast**, **corruption**, and **unemployment**.
He stressed that **youth must be provided with opportunities for employment, education, and sports**, adding that the current state of Balochistan reflects a severe **political and economic crisis**, caused by the **incompetence and corruption** of those in power, as well as the absence of genuine public leadership.
Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman stated that the current situation demands Jamaat-e-Islami workers take greater responsibility by **reaching out to the people** and convincing them that the real solution lies in **collective struggle and support for honest leadership** — which, according to him, only Jamaat-e-Islami can provide.
He said, *“All others have been tried and have failed. Now Jamaat-e-Islami stands as the only viable alternative with a proven track record in parliamentary, religious, and public service, guided by honest leadership.”*
Highlighting the founding vision of Pakistan, he lamented that the country, which was achieved through great sacrifices for the **implementation of Quran and Sunnah**, has never seen the enforcement of Islamic law even for a single day. He blamed the **disconnect from Islamic values** as the root cause of the country’s misfortunes.
He further criticized the current leadership for **imposing themselves on the people**, being mired in corruption and failure, and for losing **respect at the international level**.
Concluding his address, Maulana Hidayat urged Jamaat-e-Islami members to **strengthen their bond with the Quran and Hadith** and to spread this message among the masses, so that **peace and prosperity can be restored in Balochistan**.
