Pakistan Army Dedicates One-Day Salary and Rations for Flood Victims in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Peshawar: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has issued special instructions for intensified relief and rehabilitation efforts in the flood-affected areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), following the recent cloudbursts and devastating flash floods across the province.
According to security sources, Field Marshal Munir affirmed that the Pakistan Army is fully committed to assisting the flood-stricken population of KP. Additional army units are being deployed to support relief operations in the worst-hit areas.
As part of the humanitarian effort, all army personnel have donated one day’s salary toward the rehabilitation of the flood victims. Furthermore, the army has dedicated one day’s worth of rations—exceeding 600 tons—for immediate distribution among affected communities.
The Field Marshal has directed the Corps of Engineers to urgently repair damaged bridges and construct temporary structures where needed to restore essential connectivity.
For ongoing rescue operations, the Army’s 9th Unit Rescue Sniffer Dog Team has been dispatched to the region, alongside a specialized Urban Search and Rescue Team, following Field Marshal Munir’s directives.
Army helicopters and aviation units are already active in delivering aid and assisting with evacuation and restoration missions in flood-hit areas.
Security officials emphasized that the Pakistan Army stands shoulder to shoulder with the brave people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during this difficult time.
It is important to note that various districts across KP have experienced severe destruction due to recent cloudbursts and flash floods, with the death toll surpassing 200.
