Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb Optimistic About Economic Reforms in Upcoming Budget

Federal Finance Minister, Mohammad Aurangzeb**, has emphasized that **significant changes** in the country’s economic landscape cannot happen overnight, and some time is needed for reforms to show results. In a conversation with the media in **Kamalia**, he highlighted the progress made under the leadership of **Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif**, stating that there has been a noticeable **improvement** in the country’s economy over the past year.

Aurangzeb also mentioned that the upcoming **budget** would introduce **reforms** aimed at ensuring **long-term growth** and addressing the nation’s economic challenges. He stressed that **overnight transformations** are not feasible, and time is required for substantial and sustainable change.

The finance minister praised the **role of the media** during the **Pakistan-India conflict**, acknowledging their significant contribution in maintaining peace and stability.

He also announced that the **Economic Survey for the current fiscal year** will be presented tomorrow, and the **budget for the fiscal year 2025-26** will be unveiled on **June 10**.

Meanwhile, the **Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq**, has approved the schedule for the **National Assembly’s budget session**. According to the approved schedule, the **federal budget** for the fiscal year **2025-26** will be presented in the **National Assembly** on **June 10**. The assembly will not meet on **June 11** and **June 12**, with the **budget debate** set to begin on **June 13**.

Sadiq also confirmed that all **parliamentary parties** in the **National Assembly** will be allotted time to present their views in accordance with the established rules. The **debate on the budget** will conclude on **June 21**, followed by the **voting on demands, grants, and cut motions** on **June 24 and 25**. On **June 26**, the **Finance Bill** will be approved by the National Assembly, with discussions and voting on **supplementary grants** and other matters scheduled for **June 27**.
