Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan Leader Hidayat-ur-Rehman Calls for Unity in the Fight for Balochistan’s Rights and the Recovery of Missing Persons

Quetta:Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan MPA, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, has called for the unification of Balochistan’s true leaders to secure the province’s rights, protect its people and resources, and address the issues of lawlessness, unrest, and border restrictions. He stated that the real responsibility for Balochistan’s issues lies with the establishment, emphasizing the urgent need for the recovery of missing persons and highlighting the government’s failure, particularly with the ongoing internet shutdown in the region.
In a series of speeches and discussions with various delegations, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman underscored the importance of a unified approach to tackle the worsening situation in Balochistan. He criticized the provincial assembly for being weak, with elected representatives unable to address the challenges faced by the people. According to him, the Balochistan government is powerless, while the establishment controls the province’s resources and decision-making.
He accused the establishment of exploiting Balochistan’s natural resources without regard for the well-being of the people. “The government is a mere façade, and no one is concerned about the hardships and challenges faced by the citizens. The powerful forces are more concerned with their privileges, while the people, especially the youth, are suffering from unemployment, poverty, and insecurity,” he said.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman further pointed out that Balochistan’s security spending, totaling 85 billion rupees, is being used to protect security forces and VIPs, rather than safeguarding the lives and property of ordinary citizens. He also mentioned that the closure of borders has resulted in unemployment for approximately 2.5 million people in the province.
The Jamaat-e-Islami leader lamented that the masses have become disillusioned with the judicial, political, and media systems, as they are all under the control of the ruling powers. With no real representation, the people are left with nowhere to turn for justice. He said that Balochistan’s leadership, under the banner of Jamaat-e-Islami, is working to unite the people and create a collective, sincere effort to fight for the rights of the province, restore law and order, end corruption, and secure the recovery of missing persons.
In conclusion, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman stressed the need for a unified and practical struggle to overcome the ongoing challenges in Balochistan, calling on the public to join hands for a better future.
