Sindh Government Announces Public Holiday on August 9 for Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai’s Urs

Karachi: The Sindh Government has declared a public holiday across the province on August 9, 2025 (Saturday) in observance of the Urs (annual shrine celebration) of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.
According to a notification issued by the Sindh Government, the holiday will mark 14 Safar 1447 Hijri, corresponding to August 9, 2025. The holiday will be observed across all provincial government offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous institutions, corporations, and local councils under the administration of the Sindh Government.
The notification clarified that offices providing essential services will remain open, while all other government offices will remain closed for the holiday.
