Shehzad Akbar Advises Waqas Akram to Give Up His Seat for Mohsin Naqvi in Jhang

London: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former accountability advisor, Shehzad Akbar, has advised Sheikh Waqas Akram to voluntarily give up his seat in Jhang for Mohsin Naqvi, should Naqvi wish to contest and become a Member of National Assembly (MNA) from the area.
In a conversation with YouTuber Faryal Abbasi, Shehzad Akbar mentioned that Mohsin Naqvi’s in-laws are from Jhang, and if he intends to run for MNA from there, it should not be a problem. Akbar further suggested that Waqas Akram should graciously hand over his seat to Naqvi for this noble cause. He added that if the army chief decides to make Mohsin Naqvi the Prime Minister, then neither Shehbaz Sharif nor Waqas Akram would be able to stop it.

It is worth noting that recently, Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, remarked that Sheikh Waqas Akram has been continuously absent for 40 days without taking any leave. According to Article 64, the Speaker has the authority to declare a seat vacant if a member is absent for a prolonged period without notice. Sadiq noted that Akram has been absent without informing the assembly for over 40 days.
