PTI Leader’s Return Path Cleared After Gaining Support Within Party

Islamabad: The way has been paved for the return of a former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader who had been expelled from the party, as he now receives backing from within PTI. This has opened the door for his potential reinstatement in the party.
According to sources, a significant development took place during a PTI parliamentary party meeting where it was revealed that the expelled leader, Sher Afzal Marwat, now has the support of senior PTI leaders for his return. PTI members have expressed their support for reinstating Marwat, making it clear that his return to the party is now a viable option.
Sher Afzal Marwat also participated in the parliamentary committee meeting, where he clarified that while he used to respond when criticized, he would refrain from responding if party members ceased their criticisms. He further added that if they do not criticize him, he will not engage in retaliatory responses.
Sources further disclosed that former PTI leader Nisar Jatt also supported Marwat’s return, and the party’s parliamentary committee will soon present its stance on Marwat’s reinstatement to PTI’s founder.
PTI’s Asad Qaiser stated that the ultimate authority on PTI’s decisions rests with the party founder, adding that any matter regarding Marwat would be presented to the founder for a final decision. The parliamentary party’s decisions will be shared with the founder for confirmation.
In the meeting, leaders like Usama Mela and Khurram Work expressed their support for Marwat, while Shandana Gulzar pointed out the inconsistency in issuing show-cause notices. She mentioned that PTI members like Shahbaz Gill and Shehzad Akbar, who make statements against the Chief Minister from abroad, have not received any show-cause notices, unlike others in the party.
Alyia Hamza also tweeted about Salman Akram Raja and Ali Amin, stating that they too hadn’t faced any show-cause notices. Sources revealed that the party only issued one-sided decisions and show-cause notices, which were considered unjust.
Shandana Gulzar further criticized Shahbaz Gill for making statements and vlogs against party leaders while being abroad. According to sources, the majority of the parliamentary party expressed their support for Sher Afzal Marwat’s reinstatement.
