Babar Azam on the Verge of Breaking Major ODI Records Against West Indies

Karachi: Pakistan’s star batsman, Babar Azam, is on the cusp of breaking two significant records in One-Day International (ODI) cricket as he prepares to face West Indies in a three-match series. The first ODI will be played on Friday at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.
At 30 years old, Babar Azam is closing in on breaking the record for the most ODI centuries by a Pakistani batsman, held by the legendary opener Saeed Anwar. Anwar scored 20 centuries in 247 matches and 244 innings, while Babar has accumulated 19 centuries in just 131 matches and 128 innings. Babar needs just one more century to surpass Anwar’s long-standing record.

Currently, Babar has scored 19 centuries in 128 innings, and if he scores one more in the next four innings, he will surpass Indian star Virat Kohli, who took 133 innings to reach 20 centuries.
