Senior Journalist Asad Toor Claims All Corruption Leads to the Establishment, Warns of Nationwide Destruction
Lahore:Senior journalist Asad Toor has alleged that all individuals currently accumulating wealth are connected to the establishment. He further claimed that no one will be held accountable as long as the power dynamics stay in place.
In a statement, Asad Toor remarked that the ongoing corruption, estimated to be around 2 trillion rupees, involves not just the ruling parties but all segments of the political system. “The political careers of those profiting today and their subsequent inclusion in the federal cabinet trace back to the establishment,” he said, addressing the government’s efforts to make political adjustments under the guise of the 27th amendment.
Toor continued by criticizing the current government’s approach, saying, “They will twist the arm of the PPP (Pakistan Peoples Party) to make adjustments in the 27th amendment, but the level of corruption we’re seeing today is beyond comparison. The corruption of 75 years cannot be equated with the rampant theft happening over the past two to three years.”
He went on to accuse all sectors of the system of “mercilessly looting” the country, stating that those benefiting from the system are exploiting it to such an extent that it’s become a desperate race to loot before the system collapses entirely.
“Everyone involved knows that this country is doomed. There’s no way back for us. They are looting everything they can while they still have the chance,” Toor concluded.
