Pakistan Railways and Balochistan Government Agree to Launch People’s Train Service

Quetta: Pakistan Railways and the Balochistan government have reached an agreement to launch the People’s Train Service. The consultation for the route from **Saryab to Kuchlak** has been completed, and practical steps will begin soon. In a meeting chaired by **Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sardar Faraz Bugti**, it was decided that the People’s Train Service would be operationalized soon.
It was also agreed in the meeting that the Balochistan government would purchase engines and coaches from Pakistan Railways instead of abroad. Federal Minister for Railways **Hanif Abbasi** assured that all necessary facilities, including engines and coaches, would be provided within six months. Pakistan Railways has also agreed to initiate a project to upgrade the existing infrastructure in the region, which will be carried out jointly with the Balochistan government.
Chief Minister Mir Sardar Faraz Bugti emphasized that the People’s Train Service would provide the people of Balochistan with affordable, dignified, and fast travel options. He added that the service would offer top-notch travel facilities to locals, and the Saryab to Kuchlak route would mark a new era of modern travel for the public.
Mir Sardar Faraz Bugti further stated that he is personally overseeing every step of the People’s Train Service and would not tolerate any delays.
