Chief Justice Emphasizes Importance of Modern Judicial System in Karachi, the Economic Hub of Pakistan

Karachi: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Yahya Afridi, has stated that Karachi is the economic hub of Pakistan, and establishing a modern judicial system in the city is crucial for the country’s legal and economic stability.
During a meeting with a delegation from the District Bar Association Karachi, Justice Afridi reiterated his commitment to strengthening the district judiciary and legal framework in the city. He emphasized that district courts are the primary source of justice for the public and stressed the importance of modernizing the judicial infrastructure in Karachi.
He also hinted at the appointment of additional resident secretaries in each province to further enhance the functioning of the legal system.
The meeting was attended by District Bar Association President Aamir Waraich, Abdul Rehman Korai, and Additional Resident Secretary of the Law and Justice Commission, Sohail Mashwari.
