Rain Expected in Various Parts of Pakistan Including Upper Punjab; Light Showers Likely in Karachi and Coastal Areas
Islamabad:Rain is expected in different parts of Pakistan today, with some areas of upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir receiving scattered showers, according to the **Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD)**. The weather in Islamabad turned pleasant overnight after a thunderstorm accompanied by rain, adding to the overall freshness of the environment.
The PMD forecasted that today, heavy showers could occur in some parts of upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir. Meanwhile, **Karachi** and other coastal areas of **Sindh** will experience partly cloudy skies, with a chance of light rain or drizzle at a few places.
Additionally, the **Flood Forecasting Division Lahore** reported that **Guddu and Sukkur Barrages** on the **Indus River** are currently experiencing low-level flooding, while other rivers are flowing at normal levels at their respective headworks.
The ongoing weather conditions are expected to provide a temporary respite from the heat, with the rain further improving air quality and bringing relief to residents across various regions.
