Pakistan Moving Towards Economic Recovery: PPP’s Nawabzada Jamal Raisani

KARACHI/QUETTA:Senior Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and Member National Assembly **Nawabzada Mir Jamal Khan Raisani** visited the **Federation House** in Karachi, where he was warmly received by **FPCCI Vice President Nasir Khan** and former caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan **Alauddin Marri**.
During his visit, Raisani held a meeting with **FPCCI Secretary General Brig. (R) Iftikhar Opal**, joined by Vice Presidents **Muameen Khan**, **Nasir Khan**, **Mian Zahid Hussain** (Chairman National Business Group), and **Mir Fareed Jan Raisani**.
The discussions focused on:
* Pakistan’s current **economic landscape**,
* **Investment opportunities**,
* **Industrial development**, and
* The need to attract **foreign direct investment (FDI)**.
Speaking at the occasion, Nawabzada Jamal Raisani stated:
> “Pakistan is emerging from one of the worst crises and is now on a path toward economic revival. The hollow promises of so-called change have only wasted the time and potential of our youth and gravely damaged the national economy.”
He credited the PPP’s role in stabilizing the economy during the **PDM government**, emphasizing the importance of the **Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC)**, which he said had played a pivotal role in restoring investor confidence under the leadership of the military establishment.
> “The PPP has always championed industrial growth and foreign investment. Insha’Allah, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will lead the next federal government.”
Raisani reiterated the party’s commitment to shifting from an **“aid-based” to a “trade-based” policy**, adding:
> “Under the PPP, Pakistan will become the Asian Tiger. Balochistan, in particular, has become a focal point for international investors, and a new wave of foreign investment — especially from friendly countries — will soon begin in the province.”
He concluded by affirming that the PPP envisions a **strong industrial base** and **self-sufficient economy** as the foundation for national prosperity.
