Imran Khan Urges Ali Amin Gandapur to Resign If He Fails to Maintain Law and Order

Rawalpindi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has reportedly called for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to step down if he cannot ensure law and order in the province.
According to sources, Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated, made the statement during recent communications allowed under his restored prison privileges. “If Ali Amin Gandapur cannot establish peace in the province or address governance issues, then someone else should be given the opportunity,” Khan reportedly stated.
Prison Privileges Restored
Sources also confirmed that Imran Khan’s jail privileges have been reinstated, including access to books, newspapers, and phone calls. He was allowed to speak to his children for an hour over the phone the previous day. During the call, he reportedly told them they were welcome to visit him in prison if they wished.
Khan also noted that he learned during the conversation that his children’s NICOPs (National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis) had expired. He emphasized that he never said his children would return to Pakistan to participate in protest movements.
Reaction to Senator Mishal Yousafzai’s Appointment
Regarding the recent appointment of Mishal Yousafzai as senator, Imran Khan distanced himself from the controversial statement made by his sister, Aleema Khan. He reportedly termed her comments as unnecessary and said that she should avoid making political statements.
These developments reflect Imran Khan’s continued influence over party affairs and provincial leadership decisions, even from behind bars.
