Maryam Nawaz Praises Inclusion of 53 Women in Border Military Police in South Punjab
“Salute to the daughters breaking chains of outdated traditions,” says Punjab CM

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has paid tribute to 53 courageous women who have joined the Border Military Police (BMP) in South Punjab, calling their participation a historic milestone.
In a message shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Maryam Nawaz expressed pride and admiration for the women from Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur who have stepped into roles traditionally dominated by men.
“Where once even mentioning women’s names was difficult, today brave women have stepped forward with dignity and courage,” she said. “It brings me great joy to see these proud daughters in uniform now serving as protectors.”
For the first time, 53 courageous women have been recruited into the Border Military Police in DG Khan and Rajanpur, stepping into roles once thought impossible.

She further added, “Salute to those daughters who are breaking the chains of outdated traditions and moving forward with strength.”
