Families Demand Release After Enforced Disappearance of Previously Recovered Individuals in Quetta

Quetta:The families of Ali Asghar Qambarani, Fazl ur Rehman Qambarani, Zia ur Rehman Qambarani, and Sherbaz Bangulzai have raised serious concerns over the renewed enforced disappearance of their loved ones. Addressing a press conference at the Quetta Press Club on Friday, the relatives said that after months of anguish and struggle, their missing family members were finally recovered, bringing temporary relief and joy. However, just last night, they were once again forcibly disappeared, and their homes were raided in violation of the sanctity of the four walls.
“We knocked on every door to seek justice and finally found peace when our loved ones returned. We thanked all individuals and institutions involved in their recovery, but we never imagined that our relief would be so short-lived,” a family member stated emotionally during the press conference.
They added that they have been suffering this pain for over two decades and are still clueless about their alleged crime. “We are exhausted from pleading for the recovery of our loved ones,” they said.
According to the families, Ali Asghar and Fazl ur Rehman Qambarani were forcibly taken again last night, and Sherbaz Bangulzai was abducted from Killi Qambarani, Quetta. They recalled that in March, several family members including Ali Asghar, Fazl ur Rehman, and Zia ur Rehman were previously subjected to enforced disappearance but were eventually recovered after protests, press conferences, and meetings with the Quetta Commissioner.
The families are now demanding that the provincial government, Quetta Commissioner, state institutions, and all concerned authorities take immediate action to recover their loved ones and ensure justice.
