Karachi Woman Slams K-Electric Over Inflated Bill: Turns Rs. 600,000 into Rs. 15,000 – Viral Video Sparks Uproar

Karachi: A woman from Karachi has taken social media by storm after posting a video protesting against K-Electric, claiming that she was issued an electricity bill of Rs. 600,000, which she successfully got reduced to Rs. 15,000 after relentless efforts.
According to the woman, the original payable amount was only Rs. 15,000, but K-Electric sent her an exaggerated bill of Rs. 600,000. In the viral video, she passionately and clearly explains her side of the story, earning widespread public support and attention.
The video triggered a strong reaction on social media, with users criticizing K-Electric’s billing policies and raising serious concerns about alleged irregularities, excessive charges, and unexplained deductions.

Many Karachi residents have echoed similar experiences, claiming that even after paying bills regularly, they are often forced to pay additional unjustified amounts. Consumers argue that such practices are not only unfair but also contribute to the growing financial burden on the public.
This is not the first time K-Electric has faced public backlash. In the past, the company has come under fire for frequent load-shedding, sudden tariff hikes, and questionable billing practices.
Although the authenticity of the viral video has not been officially verified, it has ignited a broader conversation online about how ordinary citizens can raise their voices effectively against corporate malpractice.
