Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Launches Free Insulin Program for Diabetic Children

Lahore:Chief Minister of Punjab **Maryam Nawaz** has officially launched a **free insulin program** aimed at supporting children suffering from diabetes across the province.
On **Monday**, the Chief Minister personally visited the homes of several young patients in **different areas of Lahore**, accompanied by delivery riders, to distribute the **’CM Insulin Cards’** herself.
During her visit to **Q-Block, Sabzazar**, Maryam Nawaz handed over **insulin cards, glucometers, BSR strips**, and **needle disposal boxes** to young patients **Wasay Adnan, Zainab Waheed,** and **Zain Shehzad**.
The Chief Minister embraced Wasay Adnan’s grandmother and interacted warmly with the families, inquiring about their health and wellbeing. She also **promised to send a car** for young Wasay, bringing joy to the family.
Children welcomed the Chief Minister by **showering her with flowers** and took pictures with her.
Speaking on the occasion, Maryam Nawaz said:
> “I can understand the pain and struggles of children suffering from diabetes. For those who cannot afford medicines or insulin, the government will reach them directly at their doorstep.”
In the **first phase** of the **Free Insulin Program**, **1,500 children** across Punjab will receive insulin and related supplies **at home**, ensuring essential treatment without any financial burden on families.
This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to **child healthcare** and ensuring **access to life-saving medication** for vulnerable communities.
