BSO Condemns Decision to Hand Over Balochistan Agricultural University to Private Institution, Threatens Peaceful Protest

QUETTA:The **Baloch Students Organization (BSO)** has strongly condemned the recent decision to hand over the **Balochistan Agricultural University** building to a private institution, **New Tech**. In a statement issued by the organization’s spokesperson, it was highlighted that this decision is part of a **long-standing anti-education policy** that has been affecting the province’s educational institutions for years.

The spokesperson stated that the move to transfer the **Balochistan Agricultural University** to a private entity is **unacceptable** and **worthy of condemnation**. The organization clarified that while they acknowledge the need for **technical institutions** in the province, such as **New Tech** and others, their presence should not come at the cost of existing educational structures.

The statement further emphasized that the **BSO** is not opposed to **technical education** or vocational training, but it should not lead to **disruption** in the existing educational system. The **BSO** insists that new technical institutions should be provided with **separate facilities** and should not interfere with the operations of established educational institutions.

The spokesperson added: “We want to make it clear that we will not tolerate any harm to our current and well-established educational institutions. If the provincial government is genuinely concerned about education in Balochistan, it must refrain from actions like this. Otherwise, the **BSO** will launch a **peaceful political movement** across the province to resist such decisions.”

The **Baloch Students Organization** has reiterated its commitment to protecting the **educational rights** of Baloch students and ensuring that their future remains unaffected by political or administrative decisions that undermine the province’s educational infrastructure.
