JUI-F Balochistan’s Senator Abdul Wasay Criticizes Government’s Lack of Vision, Calls for Dialogue to Address Provincial Issues

Quetta:Senator Maulana Abdul Wasay, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) in Balochistan, expressed strong concerns over the government’s inability to provide a clear vision for the future of the province, stating that Balochistan’s development has been neglected for decades. Speaking at his residence during a series of meetings with various delegations, he highlighted that since the creation of the province, there has been a lack of significant plans or initiatives aimed at improving the region’s socio-economic conditions.

Maulana Wasay accused the government of pushing the province into a state of darkness and stagnation. He stated, *”For years, we have seen no substantial development plans for Balochistan. The province has been continuously neglected, and the welfare of the people remains a distant goal. The welfare of the people has always been the primary priority of JUI-F.”*

Referring to the alleged undermining of his party’s mandate, he added, *”The manner in which our mandate was stolen will forever be remembered as a dark chapter in history. We are people of resilience, and we will never forget this injustice.”* He urged the authorities to show compassion towards the people of Balochistan and address the province’s dire situation.

Senator Wasay reiterated that JUI-F has always maintained a clear stance that the resolution of issues does not lie in confrontation or conflict. Instead, he emphasized the need for serious dialogue, a pragmatic approach, and political maturity. He further stressed that past experiences have shown that when the people’s chosen leadership was sidelined, crises and unrest inevitably followed.

He concluded by stating that addressing the root causes of these issues is crucial for effective solutions, warning that without a proper understanding of these causes, any attempts to solve the problems will remain ineffective.
